Joan Martin, M.S. is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington State. As Director of Counseling at Alderwood Christian Resources, she provides therapy to individual adults, adolescents, and couples. Joan specializes in issues such as unresolved grief and loss, anger, depression, and anxiety. Her aim is to help people change old patterns and find more satisfying interpersonal relationships as they experience life’s various transitions. Joan holds a Master’s degree in Counseling from Seattle Pacific University. Her undergraduate is in Biblical Studies and Women’s Ministries from Multnomah Bible College. Joan is committed to Biblical principles as the guideline for health and wholeness. Joan and her husband, Bill, have attended Alderwood Community Church for over twenty years. Their son, Billy, is a freshman at Kings High School. Joan has been counseling at Alderwood Christian Resources for the past fourteen years.
