Dear Families,
We are continuing to work on scripture memorization at church this year in the 2nd through 5th grade classes. It is exciting to see kids work hard on memorizing God's Word.
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,” 2 Timothy 3:16
Resolve this year to make time for study of the Bible, reading it, memorizing it and meditating on it. You will not regret making it a priority in your life and the life of your family. When your child leaves the home, if your household has stressed Bible learning and verse memorization, it will stick to your child's heart like glue and go with them wherever they go. Work hard to give your child this gift. It could change your life too.
I also understand that many of the children attend Christian School and AWANA so I thought it might be nice to send a form home for you to record verses learned at home. An online version of this can be found HERE. The recording sheet can be turned in at church and will count toward your kid's total verses memorized. Small incentives will be rewarded when children reach any multiple of 10 verses memorized. We will also be keeping track of verses learned at church. See below for the verses we will be focusing on during the next few weeks.

During January-March our challenge is to try to memorize as much as you can of Romans 12:1-21. Even little kids can do it with a lot of repetition.
