ACC Small Groups

"Connecting is life. In connecting with God, we gain life. In connecting with others, we nourish and experience that life as we freely share it" (Crabb).

WHAT IS A SMALL GROUP?

A small group is a supportive group where it is safe to share one's life with others. It consists of 3-12 people who are committed to building relationships for the purpose of becoming devoted followers of Christ.

Our Goal
Our Goal is Life Change! The optimal environment for "Life Change" occurs in the context of a Small Group. Connecting people in a Small Group is not a sub ministry of ACC; it is rather the church in its smallest unit.

Our Model
Significant life change occurs best within a Biblical Community. The early church started new communities wherever they went as they proclaimed Christ. As followers of Christ, we are called to live in mutually accountable relationships, as we reflect God's love, walk in step with the Spirit, and build up fellow believers as we bear witness of the Good News to the world.

Our Method
Our Method is "Diversity and Variety!" It will take a variety of small groups to meet the individual needs of believers, as well as the diverse needs of ACC. People can grow in Christ likeness, study, care, and pray for one another whether it be in a Growth Group, Nurture Group, Mission Group, Support Group, or Bible Study Group.

SMALL GROUP FOCUS

Growth
Small Groups are focused on helping you become a more fully devoted follower of Christ.

Fellowship and Support

Small Groups are a way to become integrated into the body of Christ.

Accountability
Small Groups are places of intimacy where you can be real and where you will be encourage to grow as a follower of Jesus Christ.

Multiplication
